In True Crime: New York City, players take on the role of former gang member turned cop Marcus Reed as they fight crime on the GPS-accurate streets of Manhattan, complete with subways, hundreds of interiors, internationally recognized landmarks and real neighborhoods from Harlem to Chinatown to Times Square. Players will navigate the city the way New Yorkers do, by taking cabs, riding subways, walking and driving cars and motorcycles. Experience all the sights and sounds of New York, complete with the energy and architecture authentic to the city's diverse neighborhoods, the voices and likenesses of real New Yorkers, and the cacophony of ambient traffic and bustling noises unique to the city. The game also includes character concentrations specific to each neighborhood. For example, the player will find a plethora of tourists amidst the lights and large buildings of Times Square, but predominantly locals near the brownstones of Harlem.
Featuring more than 80 eclectic songs from NYC raised or transplanted bands that span such diverse genres as punk, hip hop, hardcore and rock bring true East Coast flavor to Activision, Inc.'s highly anticipated True Crime: New York City video game. The in-game soundtrack features licensed tracks from some of the biggest names in music from Bob Dylan, The Ramones and Blondie to Run DMC, Public Enemy and DMX, as well as new music from Redman, including "Rush The Security" from his upcoming album Red Gone Wild and two original tracks written for the game.
True Crime: New York City has been developed by Luxoflux and is available for the PlayStation¨2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox¨ video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCubeª. True Crime: New York City has been rated "M" ("Mature" Ð Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs) by the ESRB. In honor of Activision's True Crime: New York City, Puma is doing a limited run of the True Crime RS100 (only 200 pairs made). Only being sold at Clientele, Classic Kicks, Flight Club and The PUMA Store - Soho. All of the stores are featured as environments in the game.
